Shoulder Pain Exercises

Shoulder Pain Exercises are the best and long lasting solution to get rid of shoulder pain, restore the rotator cuff to full functionality, and cut down on expensive anti inflammatories. Normally, the usual route taken from anyone afflicted by a shoulder condition is to resort to drugs, both steroidal or not, prescription or over the counter. This may be all right and well for the short term, however it is a fact that the shoulder joint, due to its complexity, usually takes a long time to recover spontaneously.

During this time the person affected keeps on spending on expensive drugs that come together with side effects along with alleviating the pain. Most shoulder joint conditions show up with pain, be it Tendonitis, Bursitis, Impingement, a Frozen Shoulder or a Torn Rotator Cuff. All of them imply a disorder of the rotator cuff tendons proper or adjacent parts such as the Bursa or the Capsule surrounding the cuff.

The best and most effective way to help speed up recovery times for a shoulder is by implementing specific shoulder pain exercises for the rotator cuff, getting rid of the inflammation at the root of the problem. These exercises should not be confused with generic shoulder exercises such as the military presses or lateral raises found in gym workouts. Those are exercises for the big shoulder muscles only, the Deltoid and the Trapezius, not the 4 rotator cuff muscles and tendons beneath it. For these, a completely different program of specific and targeted movements with very light resistance is needed.

This way, the rotator cuff can accelerate the natural self healing process and return to the supple and strong mechanism that stabilizes the shoulder in a full range of motion, with no pain anymore. However, given the complexity of the shoulder joint and the fact that we use it every day, it is no use picking exercises here and there to concoct a self devised program. This could do more harm than good and exacerbate the situation even further.
